Cranberry Gin starts with our award-winning gin. We add real cranberry juice and mix to create the perfect blend of botanicals and tart cranberry. Grapefruit Vodka was created to be easy drinking and delicious – the perfect take-anywhere spirit. A bold mix of Vodka and real fruit juices, it is really to be enjoyed however you see fit! Toss it on the rocks, add a splash of soda water, craft the cocktail of your dreams, or shoot it right out of the bottle (we don’t judge). We love this craft spirit and hope you do too.

WHAT WE DO
At Capital K Distillery, we start by carefully selecting top-quality grains from Manitoban farmers. These grains are then milled and added to our stainless-steel mash tun along with hot water. Enzymes are introduced to break down complex sugars into simpler ones. Once this process is complete, yeast is added, and the mixture is transferred to fermentation tanks. Over five to seven days fermentation occurs, yielding alcohol, carbon dioxide, and heat.
Following fermentation, the liquid undergoes its first distillation in our mash tun, resulting in "low wine" with an alcohol content of 30-40%. This low wine is then distilled a second time using our copper spirit still with a four-plate column, yielding alcohol at around 85-90% purity.
For the final refinement, the alcohol undergoes a third distillation in our spirit still with a 16-plate column, producing highly pure alcohol at 93-96% potency. This refined alcohol forms the base for our flagship vodka, as well as other flavoured and infused spirits.
We take immense pride in our craft process, prioritizing small batches to ensure the utmost quality and consistency in every bottle. Each product is meticulously bottled, sealed, and labelled by hand right here in our distillery located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

WHO WE ARE
Located in the heart of Winnipeg, Capital K Distillery was Manitoba's first family-owned and operated producer of handcrafted spirits. Our first product, Tall Grass Vodka, was proudly launched in the fall of 2016, followed by Tall Grass Gin and the rest of the Tall Grass spirits line. WPG Vodka, our value brand, was introduced in 2019.
Our traditional craft distilling process begins with a controlled hand milling or mashing of locally grown grain. Capital K Distillery takes pride in selecting only the best Manitoba-grown produce for our craft spirits.
